#MeetTheDancerMonday is a social media campaign that introduces Pennsylvania Ballet dancers to their fans through brief personal bios posted on the company’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Each Monday a new company member is featured with their unique bio and headshot. I managed this campaign by initiating the project and communicating with the dancers to compile their bios. I then wrote each bio, coordinated approvals, and built each post.

Meet Aaron! 🚗🏈🎓 A self-proclaimed “total nerd about cars” Aaron Anker began dancing with Pennsylvania Ballet as an Apprentice in 2015 where his favorite ballet to dance was Don Quixote. This season he has been promoted to Corps de Ballet and he is most looking forward to Cinderella for its’ beautiful music. A fan of both college and professional football Aaron has recently become an Eagles fan. This summer he finished up the last three classes he needed to graduate from Indiana University. He loves dancing for Pennsylvania Ballet because of “the great repertoire and the incredible dancers I’m lucky enough to call my colleagues.”
Meet Sterling! 🕷🍩🎭 Sterling Baca describes himself as a “homeschooled, spider-loving, donut-eating ballet dancer!” As a kid, he played sports and was involved with musical theater. When he discovered ballet he fell in love right away with the “athletic performing art.” Since then he has performed in most of the 50 states and more than 10 countries! Just this month he was part of the Marcelo Gomes and Friends Tour to Manaus, Brazil. Sterling looks up to many talented dancers including our very own Artistic Director Angel Corella. This is Sterling’s first season as a Principal Dancer with Pennsylvania Ballet and he is looking forward to all of our upcoming performances.
Meet Marria! 👑👟💍 Marria Starr Cosentino-Chapin has been called “the queen of cute orthopedic shoes.” She started dancing when she was 4, gaining the majority of her training from The School of the Cleveland Ballet and The School of American Ballet. Marria loves movies (Funny Girl is her favorite), naps, and M&M’s, and “like every cliché ballet dancer” is obsessed with her dog Gertrude. But most importantly this past July, she got married! Marria joined Pennsylvania Ballet in 2013 and this season she is looking forward to performing Western Symphony.
Meet Marjorie! 💇🏻⚡️📺 Marjorie Feiring, a Rumson, NJ native, began dancing when she was just 2 years old. What started out as an outlet for pent up energy soon became her outlet for expression. When she’s not dancing, Maggie enjoys knitting and styling hair. She is a fan of Harry Potter (‘the books have a very special place in my heart’), Game of Thrones, The Office, and Parks and Recreation. Maggie joined PBII in 2013, and recalls the day she was asked to join the company – “I was standing on the side of the stage during Swan Lake. Angel came up to me and asked me if I would like to join the company… I was so caught off guard that I tried to play it cool by only saying ‘Sure!’ I don’t think I’ll ever forget that moment or that feeling of wonderful surprise!”
