When we work together, we’ll take advantage of my organized systems of project management to ensure clear communication and expectations. The Design Process
While every project looks a little different, as every client is unique, here’s a look at my typical process:
PART 1: DISCOVERY
Survey: You fill out my new client survey so that I can get an understanding of you, your company, and your design needs.
Discovery Call: You book your complimentary phone call during which we’ll discuss your design needs in further detail.
Proposal & Contract: Based on your survey answers and our phone call I’ll create a custom proposal and contract tailored to your unique needs.
Research & Mood Board: I’ll research your company and industry while we work together on a mood board of inspiration imagery.
PART 2: DESIGN
Ideation & Sketches: I’ll spend time brainstorming ideas and sketching out various directions that the design could take.
Concept Exploration: I’ll narrow down the ideas into three concepts and explore them more in-depth.
Initial Designs: I’ll digitize these initial designs and build a presentation for us to review together.
Presentation & Discussion: We’ll set up a meeting (in person, or on Zoom/Skype) to review the initial designs. We’ll discuss what’s working and what isn’t and select one design to move forward with.
PART 3: REFINE
After you provide feedback and direction, I’ll get to work on the first round of revisions. Once I’ve completed the revisions I’ll create another presentation and send it back for your review. This process will repeat for each round of revisions. I typically provide up to 3 rounds of revisions per project.
PART 4: DELIVERY
Once we’re both satisfied with the design, I’ll send over your files. If it’s a print project, I can coordinate with the printer for you. If it’s a website, I can be available for monthly maintenance as needed, or I can teach you how to update your website yourself.
