Throughout my three years at Chalkbeat, I designed the annual report in collaboration with Development and Editorial teams. After years of opting for a static PDF, I proposed building a custom microsite in 2021 that would be more modern and mobile-friendly. The stakeholders agreed and I go to work with a developer to build out the site on WordPress. We also created a splash page to house all past, present, and future annual reports so that the archive is easy to find and sort through as needed.
